President Richard Millhouse Nixon in probably one of his best speeches, gave a television speech to The American people in 1969 spoke of the Great Silent Majority. Nixon calls on the Great Silent Majority for their support on November 3, 1969. He initiated a plan to end the war in Vietnam and called on The Great Silent Majority to support his plan rather than be divided. The rest is history.
